Microsoft Competency Overview
Microsoft Competencies allow Partners to promote specific capabilities to customers. It also provides customers with the Microsoft assurance that the Partner has gone through an elaborate annual certification process. Microsoft clients can be certain about the Partner’s capabilities for delivering solutions and services within their certified areas.
Customer references, individual certifications, Client Satisfaction Surveys, or development of tested, certified software based on Microsoft technologies—and in some cases, meeting minimum sales bars—can help Partners qualify for a Microsoft Competency. Partner organizations at the Certified and Gold Certified levels may attain one or more Microsoft Competencies. Gold Certified Partners are required to attain at least one competency.
